Mixes and Doughs Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
In January 2022, the average mixes and doughs import price amounted to $2,601 per ton, falling by -3.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2021 an increase of 8.3% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,844 per ton in October 2021; however, from November 2021 to January 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($3,627 per ton), while the price for Italy ($1,620 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Mixes and Doughs Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
The average mixes and doughs export price stood at $1,057 per ton in 2022, falling by -16.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a drastic downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 13% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $2,213 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($1,549 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($768 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kyrgyzstan (-1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Mixes and Doughs Imports in Russia
After three years of growth, overseas purchases of mixes and doughs decreased by -9.4% to 13K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 23%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 15K tons, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, mixes and doughs imports fell to $34M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 38%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $39M, and then dropped in the following year.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +96.9% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 54%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
In value terms, mixes and doughs exports shrank to $6.2M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a prominent expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +10.2% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +33.7% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 42% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $7.2M, and then shrank in the following year.
