The average mandarins import price stood at $854 per ton in 2022, flattening at the previous year. In general, the import price showed a pronounced setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average import price increased by 7.2%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1,111 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($1,768 per ton), while the price for Pakistan ($427 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Africa (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average mandarins export price stood at $1,405 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -3.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average export price increased by 81%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,584 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 42% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $55M, and then contracted in the following year.
