Liquefied Butanes Price in Lithuania (FOB) - 2023

In September 2023, the average liquefied butanes export price amounted to $515 per ton, rising by 15% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 39% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,066 per ton. From December 2022 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In September 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Ukraine ($572 per ton) and Estonia ($542 per ton), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($430 per ton) and Poland ($472 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (-1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 551% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,670 per ton. From May 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.
