In 2022, the average lentil import price amounted to $1,325 per ton, picking up by 45% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price enjoyed a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 45%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The average lentil export price stood at $1,907 per ton in 2022, growing by 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a pronounced downturn. The export price peaked at $2,413 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Lentil Imports in Costa Rica
