Ink Price in Belarus (CIF) - 2022
In April 2021, the average ink import price amounted to $19,778 per ton, growing by 38% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2021 an increase of 94% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in April 2021.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2021, the country with the highest price was Russia ($38,756 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($2,909 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to April 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+97.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Ink Price in Belarus (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average ink export price amounted to $5,337 per ton, growing by 3.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 93%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $20,951 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($41,250 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia totaled $5,170 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+8.5%).
Ink Imports in Belarus
For the third consecutive year, Belarus recorded decline in supplies from abroad of inks (excluding printing ink), which decreased by -23.8% to 190 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a abrupt setback. The smallest decline of -4.6% was in 2021.
In value terms, ink imports reduced rapidly to $5.8M in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a noticeable descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 25% against the previous year. Ink Exports in Belarus
In 2022, shipments abroad of inks (excluding printing ink) decreased by -95.8% to 5.7 tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, exports recorded a dramatic decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 51% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 188 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, ink exports dropped notably to $30K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a sharp curtailment.
