The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 20% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 3.1M tons, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, hand tools exports reduced slightly to $26.7B in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the last decade. At the same time, the Netherlands (+12.4%), Belgium (+7.4%), Taiwan (Chinese) (+4.1%) and Germany (+2.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +12.4% from 2012-2022. By contrast, India (-1.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. China (+3.9 p.p.) and the Netherlands (+2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the global exports, while India saw its share reduced by -2.4% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
