Green Bean Price in the Philippines (FOB) - 2022
The average green bean export price stood at $2,358 per ton in 2022, waning by -10.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw resilient growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 109%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $6,036 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to the United Arab Emirates ($2,360 per ton) and Australia ($2,359 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hong Kong SAR ($2,357 per ton) and Canada ($2,358 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+10.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average green bean import price stood at $1,005 per ton in 2022, flattening at the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a notable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 65% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $2,117 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the United States amounted to -1.0% per year.

In 2022, green bean exports from the Philippines dropped rapidly to 7 tons, which is down by -16.9% against 2021 figures. Overall, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 1,008% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 8.4 tons, and then dropped notably in the following year.
In value terms, green bean exports shrank significantly to $17K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a significant expansion.
