In June 2023, the average frozen turkey cut import price amounted to $1,612 per ton, dropping by -34.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a deep setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 76% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $3,376 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($4,853 per ton), while the price for Germany ($1,261 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (-3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average frozen turkey cut export price stood at $5,527 per ton in June 2023, which is down by -4.5% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated a measured expansion from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, frozen turkey cut export price increased by +43.2% against April 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 61% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $6,035 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
