Fluorides; of Aluminium Price in Romania (CIF) - 2023
The average fluorides; of aluminium import price stood at $1,366 per ton in August 2023, with an increase of 5.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 773% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $14,892 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($4,162 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($1,285 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+18.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Fluorides; of Aluminium Imports in Romania
After three years of growth, overseas purchases of fluorides; of aluminia decreased by -79.6% to 751 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a sharp decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 29% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 3.7K tons, and then dropped notably in the following year.
In value terms, fluorides; of aluminium imports plummeted to $1M in 2022. In general, imports faced a sharp contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 21%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $4.4M, and then fell markedly in the following year.
