Fiberboard Price in the UK (CIF) - 2023
The average fiberboard import price stood at $155 per cubic meter in August 2023, stabilizing at the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 4.5% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $169 per cubic meter in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($199 per cubic meter), while the price for Brazil ($67.4 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Fiberboard Price in the UK (FOB) - 2022
The average fiberboard export price stood at $203 per cubic meter in 2022, jumping by 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +8.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, fiberboard export price increased by +67.9% against 2014 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average export price increased by 33% against the previous year.
