World Imports of Dry-Cleaning Machines

At the same time, French Polynesia (+64.1%), Kuwait (+8.8%), France (+7.2%), Pakistan (+7.0%) and Singapore (+1.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, French Polynesia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +64.1% from 2012-2022. Bangladesh experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the United States (-7.7%) and Qatar (-13.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kuwait and French Polynesia increased by +33, +13 and +2.3 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United States ($14M), Bangladesh ($8.3M) and France ($4.1M) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together accounting for 38% of global imports. Kuwait, Qatar, Pakistan, Singapore, Democratic Republic of the Congo and French Polynesia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 7.9%.
French Polynesia, with a CAGR of +55.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices By Country
In 2022, the average dry-cleaning machine import price amounted to $5,649 per unit, with a decrease of -8.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a noticeable contraction.
