The average dried prune import price stood at $1,974 per ton in October 2023, declining by -21.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a perceptible reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 200% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $6,627 per ton. From April 2023 to October 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($7,054 per ton), while the price for Chile amounted to $1,912 per ton.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average dried prune export price stood at $5,155 per ton in 2022, surging by 4.6% against the previous year. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Nicaragua (+11.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
