Dried Mushroom Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022
The average dried mushroom import price stood at $5,411 per ton in March 2022, surging by 43% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a measured increase from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.9% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, dried mushroom import price increased by +42.9% against February 2022 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2021 an increase of 68% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $5,726 per ton. From May 2021 to March 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for China.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for China amounted to +3.9% per month.
Dried Mushroom Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average dried mushroom export price amounted to $5,628 per ton, shrinking by -9% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a modest expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, dried mushroom export price decreased by -11.2% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 94% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $9,327 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($31,973 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($921 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+13.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Dried Mushroom Imports in Indonesia
In 2022, the amount of dried mushrooms and truffles imported into Indonesia expanded notably to 1.1K tons, rising by 9.1% on the year before. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.9% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 32%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
In value terms, dried mushroom imports skyrocketed to $5.6M in 2022.
