The average crispbread import price stood at $4,422 per ton in June 2023, rising by 18% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.0%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 23% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in June 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($8,242 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($1,383 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+27.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Crispbread Price in Spain (FOB) - 2023
The average crispbread export price stood at $3,973 per ton in June 2023, picking up by 3.2% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a buoyant increase from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +6.3% over the last twelve-month period.
