Cotton Lint Price in Kazakhstan (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average cotton lint export price amounted to $2,238 per ton, with an increase of 14% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, cotton lint export price increased by +67.6% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 47% against the previous year. Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Belarus ($2,907 per ton) and China ($2,389 per ton), while the average price for exports to Moldova ($2,151 per ton) and Latvia ($2,195 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uzbekistan (+22.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average cotton lint import price amounted to $1,424 per ton, waning by -22.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a pronounced descent.
