In September 2023, the average chlorates; of sodium export price amounted to $656 per ton, surging by 5.3% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 13% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $682 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Japan ($866 per ton) and Portugal ($851 per ton), while the average price for exports to Brazil ($597 per ton) and the United States ($597 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Portugal (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a prominent increase.
