The average artificial graphite import price stood at $2,134 per ton in June 2023, picking up by 22% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 37% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $2,172 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($14,051 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,342 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+23.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($190,687 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($6,856 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+81.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
