Apricot Price in Ukraine (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average apricot import price amounted to $912 per ton, surging by 14% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a pronounced decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average import price increased by 22%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $1,219 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($1,606 per ton), while the price for Armenia ($710 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Apricot Price in Ukraine (FOB) - 2022
The average apricot export price stood at $3,138 per ton in 2022, surging by 37% against the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 332% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($5,500 per ton), while the average price for exports to Liberia ($1,179 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+14.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Apricot Imports in Ukraine
In 2022, supplies from abroad of apricots decreased by -16.1% to 6.7K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports showed a noticeable shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 10%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 8.2K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, apricot imports shrank to $6.1M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 33% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $7.8M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Apricot Exports in Ukraine
For the third year in a row, Ukraine recorded decline in shipments abroad of apricots, which decreased by -31.7% to 123 kg in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a dramatic descent. The smallest decline of -22.7% was in 2021.
In value terms, apricot exports contracted to $386 in 2022. Over the period under review, exports faced a sharp shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 52% against the previous year.
