Apricot Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average apricot import price amounted to $2,002 per ton, with a decrease of -15.4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a noticeable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 113% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $5,603 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from France ($2,215 per ton) and Germany ($2,161 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($1,532 per ton) and Romania ($1,889 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Romania (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Apricot Price in Poland (FOB) - 2022
The average apricot export price stood at $1,665 per ton in 2022, dropping by -7.7% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a measured increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, apricot export price increased by +23.0% against 2016 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 48% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,803 per ton in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,160 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($1,065 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+24.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Apricot Imports in Poland
Apricot imports into Poland reached 8.9K tons in 2022, picking up by 12% against 2021 figures. In general, imports, however, saw a abrupt setback.
In value terms, apricot imports fell to $14M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a abrupt slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 29% against the previous year.

Apricot Exports in Poland
For the third year in a row, Poland recorded decline in shipments abroad of apricots, which decreased by -29.1% to 572 tons in 2022. In general, exports recorded a deep slump. The smallest decline of -4.6% was in 2021.
In value terms, apricot exports declined significantly to $953K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 29% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $1.5M, and then shrank notably in the following year.
